Overview (taken from Wikipedia)

In
the distant future people no longer drive cars themselves, instead
relying on AI (artificial intelligence) computers to drive their cars
for them. But when these AI systems start losing control and running
wild somebody has to stop them. éX-Drivers are the people who are able
to operate the older mechanical non-AI dependent cars who chase down
the AI cars and stop them.

A good amount of future or near
future technology was featured throughout the series, including
automated highway systems and A.I. (Artificial Intelligence)
technology. Automated highway systems have been proposed as a solution
to the traffic congestion problems.

Anybody regardless of age
can be an éX-Driver as long as they possess the required skills. This
would explain why one of the main characters can be only 13 years old
and drive. The premise of the show is that there are éX-Drivers all
over the world but the focus is on the team operating in Japan.

Cars
used by éX-Drivers are marked with an éX-D decal. Typically an
éX-Driver car would be an older mechanical type car and almost always
would be rear-wheel drive with the exception of an AWD (4WD) Subaru
Impreza WRC since éX-Drivers usually employ techniques such as drifting
when bringing down run away cars, which is not possible with front
wheel drive cars and is hard to do in an all wheel drive car.

Character

Lorna Endou (遠藤 ローナ, Seiyū: Yoko Asada)
A good-hearted girl, who drives a Lotus Europa Special.

Lisa Sakakino (榊野 理沙, Seiyū: Miki Nagasawa)
Lorna’s
ex-Driver partner. She used to drive a Subaru Impreza WRC in the first
episode which was wrecked had to be replaced with a Group 4
specification Lancia Stratos HF from the second episode onwards.
Initially, she was not on good terms with Sōichi but grew to like him
as the series progressed.

Sōichi Sugano (菅野 走一, Seiyū: Yumiko Kobayashi)
An extremely-talented 12 year old. He drives a Caterham Super Seven JPE and a modified Daihatsu Midget II (second episode only).

KeyHoleTV is a Windows P2PTV
application that broadcasts all the regular Japanese TV channels (with
the exception of NHK) and the occasional American channel, webcam, or
whatever random thing that might pop up. With this program, you can
stream Japanese channels in real-time. The quality of the audio and
video isn’t that great, unfortunately. The sound can be downright
terrible, especially when music performances or loud audiences are
involved. But overall, it’s decent enough to hold us over until the
show is uploaded or a better-quality alternative comes along.

To install, go to http://www.v2p.jp/video/Viewer/
and download the latest installation file (currently version 2.13).
It’s updated somewhat often, so you may want to check back now and
again.

The program is simple and pretty self-explanatory. To watch a channel, double-click the channel you want under the Program tab and you are set.

°C-ute
was formed in the year 2005, consisting of seven girls from Hello!
Project Kids who were not chosen to form the group Berryz Koubou. The
group was officially announced on June 11, 2005, though its formation
had been rumored for several months prior. Later, in January 2006,
Kanna Arihara, a Hello! Project Egg, was added at the start of the
Hello! Project Winter 2006 tour, as part of the Wonderful Hearts team.
On October 31, 2006, Megumi Murakami left the group suddenly without
any graduation ceremony.

°C-ute can often be seen back-up
dancers in W (Double You)’s music videos. Prior to the band’s
formation, some members worked with members of Morning Musume in such
side projects as Aa! and ZYX, as well as the MiniMoni movie Okashina
Daibouken.
